SEF Service Map 2

Dear Radoslaw Kubera,

I tried too install your good component. After intallation I see that in the menu called "PingBack" a site called
"http://rpc.pingomatic.com/" is defined. But there are no ping backs.

In the documentation is written:
Attention - the PingBack will function properly only if the WWW server has the fsocksopen or curl function open.

How can i check if fsockopen is open? I have a dedicated debian server with plesk by a provider but i'm not an linux expert.

Or do i have too do more things, too let it work??

If you see http://rpc.pingomatic.com, fsocksopen or curl is enabled on your server and pingback is working fine.

Pingback adds new items to queue during sitemap (XML, HTML or TXT) creation and regeneration.

Open XML or HTML map view, and check pingback queue again, please.

Note:
Not all integrators returns last modification date.
For this integrators automatic pingback (automatic add to pingback queue last modified items) not working (is disabled).
If your queue will be empty, select all menuitems on SEF Service Map Structure and use "Ping all items" please.

Your not the only one with that exact problem.
I have the exact same issue.

I also manage the server and all url-related functions are working and enabled (curl/fopen etc.)

So, is this a bug or?

It's around 780 and I've installed it a week ago.

Only 200 here. Already 3-4 days (since the install) it's 200.

I also have the same Problem, my queue length was 42 after deleting and requeueing it is now about 3 and my date is also 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Any sugestions?

I installed the component a couple of weeks ago on Joomla 1.5.9 and since then, the queue has grown continuously, but the Las Ping Date has never changed.

I'm only on my first day with SEF Service Map 2, but I'm experiencing the same PingBack issue. (The Sitemap creation works flawlessly!)

PingBack page lists:
Host = http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
Queue Length = 33
Last Ping Date = 0000-00-00 00:00:00

* I've cleared the queue
* I've tried using the 'Ping All Items' link (cleared the queue again after that didn't change anything)
* I've accessed the HTML sitemap, which did re-fill the queue but didn't submit them
* I unpublished all integrators except Content, emptied queue, and retried but still no submission
* In my configuration, I had Ping Interval set to 5 ... I changed this to 1 with no change (cleared queue, re-filled queue, no submission)
* Ping is set to all visits
* I increased Ping Timeout to 5, with no change


Let me know what I can do to fix this.

I downloaded and installed the new version and now pingback seems to work.

But there seems to be a problem with non-standard characters like é ? ? ' etc...

Hi,

First of all what a nice component it is , i like it so much ...

but i faced a problem
when i installed it on live server the queue keeps growing and last ping date was not changing at all , then i decided to perform some analysis to find where the problem actually is ... then i found that in joomla plugins/system folder the files sefservicemap.php and sefservicemap.xml were not present ... i uploaded these files through FTP now the pings started ...

I like the article, but that from the article I know maybe we can be good friends.
