SEF Service Map 2

TXT and XML maps genetates automaticaly.
Link to maps you can find in configuration section of SEF Service Map (admin) or on component footer (frontend).

XML Map link:
http://yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_sefservicemap&task=xmlmapindex&no_html=1
and this link should be submited in GWT (Google Webmaster Tools).

NOTE:
This is a XML SITEMAPS INDEX file (not XML sitemap file) -
if you see only one or two links inside the file - all is ok.

Thank you very much. I checking it with only one line returning information I assumed it was broken. I we click on the xml link file and get http://domainname/index.php?option=com_sefservicemap&task=xmlmap&no_html=1&lang=en-GB then we can assume it is working. Correct?

Thanks for the input. I still do have some questions. I thought a sitemap index file had to point to a sitemap.xml file. My sitemap.xml file is empty.

How does this sitemap link to content on my site. Is it through the txt map you sent a link to.

I am just wondering where the information for this Sitemap index gets picked up

It shows an example as:

So you can see where the sitemap.xml file is. I cannot see where mine is generated.

I would love some further information on this so I can understand how it's created. Also how does the sitemap include new articles. Does it automatically generate a new sitemap each time a post is created ?

XML sitemap must have an appropriate structure, but need not be labeled sitemap.xml
Google searches XML map link on "robots.txt" file. SEF Service Map adds inforamtion about XML map to your robots.txt file.
Example: http://www.sefservicemap.com/robots.txt
You can add XML map link to Google Webmaster Tools too (recommended, but not needed):

4. In the Dashboard under Sites type the URL of your site and click Add Site
5. Go to Sitemaps from the left hand links
6. Click Add a Sitemap

8. Type the URL of your sitemap (index.php?option=com_sefservicemap&task=xmlmapindex&no_html=1 ) in the text field
9. Click the Add General Web Sitemap button
10. Go to Overview from the left hand links
11. Click Verify your Site
12. Click Upload an HTML File from the drop box
13. A URL will be created for you (something like google09es3p877ef70ef3.htm)
14. Create a file with this URL and upload it to the root directory of your website
15. Click the Verify button

I realize you have asked us to submit the sitemap xml to google. However, where is the XML file of the complete sitemap of one's website with all the articles, etc? Thank you.

I first submitted the preferred xml file and I Google says ERRORS and when I open my SEF Service Map 2 I get the following error message.

In short, get SEF Service Map 2 working with the default Integrators and then add others one by one and make sure each one doesn't break it. I found certain ones break SEF Service Map 2 which I put in the post I mentioned above along with the error message you'll receive if you did add them anyhow.

That's not a real error message, it's just your browser telling you that the output is XML formatted and that the "tree" shown below is a representation of the raw data. I.E. that's just what you want to see.

i'm new to Joomla so to the components and modules. I wanted to Put site map in the website. so i downloaded this great tool as i read its features and flexibility to intregate with other components . I installed now i have two files in the config
