SEF Service Map 2

Hi,

thanks for your amazing component. But I am a bit confused about PingBack. In SEF Service Map 2.0 General Information it is discribed as a system to inform search engines about new articles on my website and if my site is a trusted site to get listed very fast. This is how I understand it. But the discription in the link to wikipedia is quite different, as it discribes PingBack as a system which will inform me if somebody is linking my articles, so I can link back to this site. So I am a bit confused, can you explain me how to perform the part discribed in general information, or how this will be automatically performed?

Another question in this context is, that the link http://rpc.pingomatic.com/ in hosts is leading to a site which is mostly focused on blogs. So for example blogsearch.google.com is linked on this site. I am using joomla as a blog secondary, but as a company site mainly, so i also want my company content listet in the search engines, mainly google. How does this work over http://rpc.pingomatic.com/. Or do I have to add now hosts to ping? Is their a list available?

A found no general documentation about this task. I am sorry if these questions are stupid, maybe I stand on the line.
